When selling a home, it is important to have curb appeal. The first impression a buyer gets of your house is the exterior – it is also the last thing a buyer sees before they leave.
Look at your home’s exterior objectively from the perspective of a person who has never been to your house before. What looks good? What needs attention?
The following is a checklist to help you get started:
| Lawn | User fertilzer to keep it green. Mow frequently |
| Driveway and Sidewalks | Repair any cracks Remove stains |
| Fences | Level Paint |
| Doors, window frames, fascia | Touch up paint |
| Shrubbery | Trim back to reveal homes exterior |
| Gutters and downspouts | Replace missing parts Clean debris |
| Windows | Clean inside and out |
If, after reviewing your list, you find the work too daunting, hire a qualified handyman for some or all of the tasks.
